Title: Opal (Lux #3)
Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout
Year: 2012
Genre: Young Adult/Paranormal/Alien/Romance
Pages: 452
My rating: 4/5
Summary: No one is like Daemon Black.
When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn’t fooling around. Doubting him isn’t something I’ll do again, and now that we’ve made it through the rough patches, well... There’s a lot of spontaneous combustion going on.
But even he can’t protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they love.
After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different... And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.
Together we’re stronger... and they know it.
My reaction: I'm trying to write this with the less amount of spoiler, but seriously, I know I can't leave out anything, because I can't talk about it in riddles. :D
Favorite quotes: Just some words, I found cute, swoon-worthy or just all around good.

- First, this book was a shock because wow, so many things happened that I was waiting for and even more that I never expected!
- We get to see more more and more sides of Daemon, which is just so good because he is so amazing. He's still a douche, but beside that, he is caring and nice and jealous and so much more. Why is my neighbour is a 12 year old boy and not a Daemon Black? :(
- Finally, Katy and Daemon can have a relationship in public! Prepare yourselves for dates and clubs and PROM and cuteness, and yes, some more heated action too! Believe me, you'll love it.
- But of course, nobody escapes the DOD, they're lurking everywhere.
- Dawson is hellbent on getting Beth back, which makes everyone's life a bit complicated. But they're helping him, of course, they wouldn't let their brother down. So 'Operation get Beth back' is in order.
- I was a little (okay, very) mad at Dee. Yes, what happened is horrible, and a bit Katy's fault and her secrets, but I think Dee was too hard on her. But later on, she just hardened herself, and became really bad-ass. Love!
- We are meeting someone new, called Luc. We don't know much about him in this book but he will prove himself helpful.
- We meet something new, called Opal. What it does, I'm not going to tell, you need to figure it out yourselves.
- Sadly, we got back that god-awful creature, named Blake. Seriously, I was cautious about him in the previous book, now I'm even more. And of course, he proves me right. For a few chapters, he almost convinced me that he's changed, but of course, not. Of course.
- I liked how everyone worked together on getting Beth back, how they kinda accepted Katy into their little circle, now that she's a hybrid. It just made me love them more. I still hate Ash though.
- I really really like Dawson! He is just this kind and nice guy, missing the love of his life. So sweet. Ans their reunion with Beth! Awww, I might swooned a little.
- Which brings us to THAT HORRIBLE ENDING. Okay, not horrible as in the ending sucked but the events are so so so sad. It was a cliffhanger I would never expected. I cried. Yes, I did. It was really sad.
I should've reread it before writing this review but currently no time for it and I'm reading Origin and I don't want to mix the two. It's kinda short review, but I hope you guys love it. :)

- “Simmer down, Kitten, before I have to get you a ball of yarn to play with.”
- “"Do you ever stop talking?"
"When I'm sleeping," Blake replied.
"And when you're dead," Daemon threw back. "You'll stop talking when you're dead."
Blake's lips thinned. "Point taken.” - “He was such an asshole, and I loved him.”
- “Daemon snatched the yellow packages from my hands. “Oh! Books! You have books!”
I laughed as several people waiting in line looked over their shoulders. “Hand them over.”
He clutched them to his chest, making moony eyes. “My life is now complete.”
Well, that's it babes, I hope I convinced all of you to read this, if you haven't yet.
